What to expect
How a therapeutic phlebotomy visit works
Therapeutic phlebotomy removes an amount of blood prescribed by your provider as part of your care. Unlike a routine blood draw, the blood removal itself is the service.
We confirm your identity, review your provider’s order, and follow the prescribed amount and visit instructions. The blood collected is not sent for routine laboratory testing unless separate testing has also been ordered.
Routine blood work ordered in addition to therapeutic phlebotomy is charged separately and is usually scheduled on a different day. Contact us to arrange it.
Requirements
What we need before your appointment
- A current provider order for therapeutic phlebotomy, including the amount to remove and the prescribed frequency.
- Any additional collection instructions and pre-visit lab results required by your provider.
- A signed General Patient Service Agreement & Consent, completed during booking.
- A responsible adult present if your provider recommends one or your circumstances make assistance appropriate.
- A comfortable, well-lit place where you can recline during and after the visit.
Pricing and travel
$120 per visit
- Includes the first 25 round-trip miles and the first 30 minutes of travel.
- Additional travel charges apply when your visit exceeds these allowances.
- Extra charges for certain appointment times apply only if you choose those times.
- You’ll see your total Stumptown price before you pay.

- Upload it when you book.
- Ask your provider to fax it to (971) 200-8669.
- For instructions on sending it by email, contact orders@stumptownlabservices.com.
